LOCATION: Wiluna, WA
COMPLETION: Ongoing

Potash mining is not your usual mining. Regroup were challenged with mining of Salt of Potash at SO4’s Lake Way deposit working on an every changing Salt Lake. Utilising our fleet of road trains, excavators, low ground pressure dozers and articulated dump trucks Regroup were able to meet production targets within the environmentally sensitive area. Working on the lake itself Regroup’s team, working closely with SO4’s mining management had to navigate day to day changes in lake water levels, stability of working surface and variances in grade that comes from an active salt lake, all whilst developing the most efficient mining methodology in this complex and unusual operation. Regroup have met production to date with short start up time frames and every changing client requirements easily met and conquered.

THE SOLUTION

  • Maintenance and servicing all conducted in-house to ensure maximum uptime of plant, whilst also maintaining clients fleet of plant.
  • Working hand in hand with SO4 mining team to develop key mining methodologies.
  • In charge of mining to ROM, Loading of processing plant and dewatering activities.
  • Careful management of all hydrocarbons within highly sensitive environmental area
  • Flexibility of mining activities to work around extremely fluid environment with weather having major impacts upon workability.
