Re:Group is delivering waste mining services for Kimberley Mineral Sands at the Thunderbird Mineral Sands Project in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia. Works include the removal of overburden, primarily Pindan sands and unconsolidated materials, to access ilmenite, zircon and leucoxene ore. Mobilisation began in April 2025, with oversize material haulage from the initial screening area, followed by full-scale pre-strip mining in May.
Re:Group operates a diverse fleet tailored to site conditions, including EX2600 excavators, HD1500 and HD785 dump trucks, WA900 loaders, D10 dozers and 16M graders. Equipment ranges from 100 to 260 tonne class to suit various mining tasks across the operation. A fully equipped on-site workshop supports fleet maintenance and availability. In collaboration with the client’s planning and geology teams, Re:Group applies a tailored mining approach that ensures clean ore boundaries, reduced dilution and safe, consistent production.
